Software Engineer
Job Description:

This role provides development of high-quality software that is aligned with user needs and business goals. As a software engineer you will engage with leadership, product and development teams to define software requirements, and contribute to the build and delivery of products and their features. Excellent organization and problem-solving skills, communication abilities, along with hands-on experience in agile methodologies are essential in this role.

Day-to-day key tasks and responsibilities include, but not limited to:

- Develop high-quality software design and architecture

- Identify, prioritize and execute tasks in the software development life cycle

- Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code

- Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting

- Review and debug code

- Perform validation and verification testing

- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to fix and improve products

- Develop and maintain documentation on product development phases and monitor systems

- Demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code

- Ensure software is up-to-date with latest technologies

- Supports and develops software engineers by providing advice and mentorship

- Lead the technical aspects of product development if nominated as a product Tech Lead, including:

- Contribute to and direct the efforts of a development team, including internal and external team members

- Gather user requirements, define system functionality and contribute to feature design

- Assist in task planning, estimation, scheduling and resourcing

- Determine root cause for the most complex software issues and develop practical, efficient and permanent technical solutions

Qualifications, skills, experiences, and attributes that will help in this role are:

- Proven experience as a Software Engineer

- BSc/BA in Computer Science or a related degree

- Full-Stack

- Extensive experience in software development and delivery

- Knowledge of the Javascript  programming language

- In-depth knowledge of relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL)

- Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude

- Ability to work independently

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

- Excellent organization and time management skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Demonstrated ability to lead others

- Ability to provide in-depth evaluation and analysis of unique complex technological issues

- Experience and a good understanding of fintech, i gaming and web3 technologies


Other Duties:

From time to time, you may be required to change projects or split your time across multiple projects as directed by the business.

Ensuring a consistent adherence to company policies, procedures, and performance standards Monday to Friday, some weekend work when required. 40 hours per week

The pay range for this role would be between $42 - $43 / hour for the right candidate.  One position on offer.
